CORONATION Street icon Rula Lenska teases a return to the cobbles reprising her role as Claudia Colby this “summer”.
Famous best friends Dame Maureen Lipman and Rula revealed the return for legend Claudia Colby while being interviewed Lorraine on Tuesday.
Christine Lampard asked Rula: “Will you be back on the cobbles?”
Rula shared: “I would love to go back I have a wonderful time. Not only because of being with Mau, but it was like a huge family.
“Unfortunately, the storyline I hoped that would develop between Mau and myself didn’t happen or haven’t happened yet. But yes I would love to go back.”
Maureen chimed in: “There is a chance in the summer.”

“There is for a few episodes,” Rula added.
“If she’s good, they might let her back,” Maureen joked.
Rula, 72, first joined the ITV soap in May 2011, but quit the role in order to join the Calendar Girls tour in August 2011.
She reprised her role as Audrey Robert’s friend in 2018, when glamorous Claudia quickly moved in with Ken.
She bought Audrey’s Salon before moving in with Ken and convincing him to sell up on the cobbles and move to luxury retirement home Stillwaters.
Rula, who is also a Polish countess, began her acting career in 70s TV show Rock Follies and has a string of movie credits to her name.
She has appeared on TV shows such as Special Branch, Minder, Boon, The Detectives, Footballers’ Wives, To the Manor Born, One Foot in the Grave, Casualty, Space: 1999, Return of the Saint and Robin Of Sherwood.
She’s also starred in several stage productions, including The Vagina Monologues and 84 Charing Cross Road.
