While DC Kit Green has been heading up the murder investigation, Lisa refused to step away from the case. Corrie viewers saw her in tears when she was alone in the bathroom examining bruises on her ribs and back, with a flashback showing her chasing someone on the night of Joel’s death.

Upcoming scenes will see Lisa’s teenage daughter Betsy question her mum over the bruises, leading to a tense confrontation. As truths begin to unravel, secrets about Carla and Lisa's connection come to light, raising questions about their involvement in the murder.
