All Hell Breaks Loose in Weatherfield
The secrets of serial killer Stephen Reid are about to be exposed in Coronation Street's highly anticipated Super Soap Week. As the new week begins, the truth starts to catch up with Stephen, leaving him desperate to escape from the cobbles and the trail of dead bodies he has left behind.
A Deadly Escape Plan
Stephen Reid, portrayed by Todd Boyce, has brutally taken three lives in the past year. However, his reign of terror may not be over as he plans his escape from Weatherfield. But will he have time to kill again before making a run for it?
A Dark Jigsaw Puzzle
Stephen's other half, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), is unaware of his true nature. He suggests they move to Thailand together, thinking he can leave behind his crimes and live a new life. Little does he know that the residents of Weatherfield are piecing together the shocking truth, which could lead to him spending the rest of his days behind bars.
Carla's Clues
Carla Connor (Alison King) becomes suspicious of Stephen when she realizes he drugged her with LSD. Although she has no evidence, she convinces DS Swain that Stephen is a flight risk after finding one-way tickets to Thailand in the office printer. Carla warns Jenny about Stephen's dark past, but how will she react?
A Gruesome Discovery
Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) becomes distracted from his wedding anniversary plans when he learns of Stephen's interest in a canal dredging project. While investigating, Tim finds a discarded boat hook and discovers a corpse's hand floating to the surface. Before he can report it, Stephen appears and tries to strangle him. The situation takes a turn for the worse when Stephen knocks Tim unconscious.
A Desperate Fight for Freedom
In a shocking twist, Sally assumes Tim went to a county match with Kevin unaware that he is actually fighting for his life in the boot of his car, which Stephen plans to set on fire. As Stephen returns to the cobbles, he tries to cover his tracks and tricks Michael into transferring Underworld's funds into a bogus account.
A Mother's Accusation
The Platt family is stunned when Sarah reveals Stephen's deception and how he drugged Carla. Stephen is confronted by Peter Barlow and later accused by his own mother of stealing her house. As the net tightens around him, DS Swain races to the airport to intercept Stephen before he can escape to Bangkok.
A Race Against Time
Will justice catch up with the serial killer or will he manage to elude the authorities once again? With the Platts believing Stephen to be a murderer who will stop at nothing, the question remains: has he killed again? Coronation Street fans will be on the edge of their seats as Super Soap Week unfolds.
