Coronation Street shocker: Teddy Thompkins' body found in Super Soap Week spoilers

The truth is finally catching up with Stephen Reid, and his attempts to escape from Weatherfield may be in vain. Another one of his crimes is about to be exposed on Coronation Street as the body of Teddy Thompkins is discovered.

A serial killer comes undone

Over the course of a year, Stephen Reid, played by Todd Boyce, has taken the lives of three individuals. But secrets rarely stay buried for long in the ITV show, and next week, Weatherfield's residents start piecing together the puzzle of the bloodcurdling crimes.

A narrow escape

As Stephen plans his escape from the cobbles and the trail of death he has left behind, he suggests to Jenny Connor, portrayed by Sally Ann Matthews, that they move away to Thailand. Little does he know, his neighbors are onto him.

A shocking discovery

Carla Connor is convinced that Stephen drugged her, but without evidence, the police can't prove it. When Carla finds one-way tickets to Thailand on the office printer, she becomes convinced that Stephen is a flight risk. Will the police realize his guilt in time?

An unexpected twist

Meanwhile, Tim Metcalfe becomes suspicious of Stephen's involvement in a canal dredging project. While investigating, he stumbles upon a horrific sight: a corpse's hand floating to the surface. Fleeing the scene, Tim calls the police, but Stephen is hot on his trail. A terrifying confrontation ensues, leaving Tim fighting for his life.

The truth revealed

Eventually, the police discover a roof box containing human remains in the canal. It is revealed that Teddy Thompkins was murdered after discovering Stephen's secrets, including the fact that Stephen had also killed Teddy's son, Leo. Teddy made the fatal mistake of confronting Stephen, leading to his own demise. Now the authorities must piece together the evidence and bring Stephen to justice.
