CORONATION Street’s Max Turner has pointed a finger at Daniel Osbourne saying he is grooming teen Summer Spellman.
The youngster, 17, has grown close to Daniel, 26, in recent weeks after he became her English teacher, but Max thinks the relationship has become sinister.
He starts to notice some odd behaviour from Summer especially around eating and worrying about her weight.
Amy and Asha scroll through Daisy’s insta pics admiring her tiny waist and Summer puts her sandwich down.
Later on, Daniel praises the Ice Ball decorations and Summer sways slightly.
She admits to she skipped lunch and as he grabs her arm to steady her as a suspicious Max films their exchange.
When Daniel slips an energy bar into Summer’s bag, Max catches the act on camera.
Going through her bag, Max pockets the love poem Daniel wrote down for Summer, assuming it to be proof of a relationship.
The teens are later at the Ice Ball and Max downs too much vodka, which gives him the confidence to confront Daniel.
He accuses him of abusing his position with Summer.
Daniel is shell shocked as Max claims he has proof and the teacher then takes Summer aside to tell her about the allegations.
A mortified Summer promises to put him straight, but belittles him in the process.
But little does she know, she’s unleashed a dark side in Max as he does his worst.
Despite fans appearing to detect the “horrifying” direction of the plotline, and pleading soap bosses to stop and change tack, the pair have just grown closer.
Corrie fans previously predicted Daniel will be accused of inappropriate behaviour towards Summer.
They think a horrifying storyline for troubled Summer is coming, that could leave Daniel accused of abusing his student.
Hints have already been dropped by the soap with Daniel’s relationship with younger Bethany Platt being used to criticise him.
One posted a series of vomiting emojis with the words: “Please don’t go there with Summer and Daniel.”
A second said: “Hope this Daniel/Summer story isn’t going where I think it is… #corrie”
Another added: “Don’t go there with Daniel and Summer I beg #Corrie.”
