EMMA Brooker struggles to cope after Curtis spirals out of control next week in Coronation Street.
The medical student – who is played by actor Sam Retford in the ITV soap – has a life-threatening condition that has seen him DIE twice.

Next week’s episodes of Corrie will see Emma confide in Steve that Curtis has failed to turn up.
As Emma worries that he might have collapsed again, viewers will see Curtis sitting alone in the Rovers, drowning his sorrows.
Emma eventually tracks Curtis down and Steve gives him a talking to for messing his daughter around.
Curtis apologises and explains that he just wishes the hospital would give him a proper diagnosis to give him some answers.
Will there be light at the end of the tunnel for Curtis?
Viewers know that Curtis recently broke up with Emma after growing convinced he’d end up breaking her heart due to his condition.
But he was eventually forced to admit the real truth to her dad Steve.
Revealing he has a terminal illness, Curtis said: “It’s a heart condition.
“I could have a totally normal lifespan or… that’s it. Any time, any place, anywhere, just stop.
“I suppose I’m no different from anyone else in some ways, none of us know.
“My heart has stopped a couple of times. In layman’s terms I was dead.
“I’d love to say there was a bright white light and heavenly choirs but nothing. I don’t recall anything until after the medics brought me back round.
“Why burden you with it and Emma? You can’t always get what you want and I’d rather Emma gets what she needs – a clean break. I’d rather she hated me than grieve for me.”
However, when Emma discovered the truth, she made clear that she wasn’t letting Curtis go – and that they’d deal with his health condition together.
