Faye then attacked Adam Barlow and left him for dead thinking he was her rapist Ray in the soap’s recent whodunit mystery.
But next week’s episodes will see Faye battle a guilty conscience in the wake of the attack.
Viewers will see her head out as Sally and Tim bicker about the idea of moving to Spain.
Desperate to talk to someone, Faye confides in Craig about how Ray tried to rape her and goes on to tell him that she attacked Adam by mistake thinking he was Ray.
With support from Craig, Faye hands herself in at the police station and admits she attacked Adam thinking he was Ray.
Tim is furious with Craig for getting Faye to hand herself in, accusing him of doing it to get promoted.
Meanwhile, Debbie is stunned when Ray is arrested at the Bistro on suspicion of attempted rape.
Later in the week, Abi, Alya and Faye see Ray leaving the bistro and are gutted to realise he’s been released.
Alya reports Ray to the police for luring her to a hotel bedroom to try and have sex with her.
Meanwhile, Abi arrives at Ray’s hotel hoping to find something to use against him.
But when he arrives back with Susan, the Chairperson of the planning committee he bribed, Abi dives behind the bar and records them discussing their crimes.
Later in the week, DS Willets calls at Adam’s office and reveals that new information has come to light.
Later, Abi tells Faye that she has proof that Ray bribed the planning committee.
Debbie tells Ray that he should sign over Hexappoint to her, but he insists he’s got everything under control.
He’s proved wrong, however, when Abi appears and shows him the footage on her phone, telling him that she’ll bury it if he admits to the attempted rape of Faye – and that if not she’ll go public with it.
When Faye reveals that Ray has been released, a furious Tim calls into Adam’s office.
But Adam assures Tim that he’s told the police he doesn’t want to see Faye punished.
Will the women of Weatherfield manage to bring down Ray?
