Coronation Street spoilers: Faye Windass makes shock confession about old man’s death

TED’s death is weighing heavy on Faye Windass and Emma Brooker as the two friends try to be a step ahead of the police.

But when she sees authorities are closing in on them, Ellie Leach‘s character makes the shock decision to confess her involvement in the pensioner’s passing.



Faye and Emma are desperately trying to keep their secret under wraps

Emma (Alexandra Mardell) and Faye had a dramatic start to the new year after running over the elderly man during a driving lesson.

Faye as taken the wheel as Emma was still tipsy from the night before.

Despite him insisting he was fine, refusing to be taken to hospital and mentioning that his mystery grandson was in the habit of taking care of him, he was later found dead in his armchair by the pair, who had decided to replace a pack of ginger biscuits he had lost during the accident.

They have since tried to cover up any evidence of their implication, as Faye previously spent several months behind bars for attacking Adam Barlow whom she had confused with Ray Crosby.

Awash with guilt, Emma and Faye learn that Ted’s funeral is being planned, with the latter believing this to be a good sign as it means his body was released by the police.

But both are set for a nasty surprise
.
In an upcoming episode of Coronation Street, due next week on ITV, Craig returns home from work as a police constable.

He proceeds to reveal further details of the investigation surrounding Ted’s (played by Duggie Brown) death, stating that his post-mortem suggested he was run over

In the police’s opinion, this may have been the cause of the blood clot that eventually killed him.

A horrified Faye is then shocked when Emma suggests they attend Ted’s funeral.

Faye realises that truth time has come when Craig mention an e-fit of the girl the postman saw at Ted’s flat, adding that the composite resembles Emma.

Craig is then faced by a distraught Faye who crumbles before him and tells him the whole story of Ted’s accidental death.

But how will Craig react to Faye’s sorry admission of guilt?

Will Faye and Emma be turned in to the police?

Will Faye go back to prison for Ted’s death?

And finally, will Coronation Street viewers ever get to meet Ted’s grandson, rumoured to be Emma’s former fiancé Curtis?
