TOYAH Battersby and her husband Imran Habeeb have put up a fight to get Alfie to stay with them.
However, next week in Coronation Street, the couple get some surprising news about their former foster child Elsie.
Young married couple Imran and Toyah (played Charlie De Melo and Georgia Taylor) have been desperate to build their own family, taking in different foster children in an attempt to have their happy ending.
The couple particularly bonded with 4-year-old Elsie but when the solicitor was revealed to be the father of Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman) baby, the young girl had to leave to meet with a new family.
This shattered Toyah’s dreams of a happy family, thus infuriating many viewers as Imran was the reason for her hopes being compromised.
Since then, Toyah and Imran have tied the knot and the latter won his custody battle against Abi by lying to a judge about her relapsing into her addiction to drugs.

Next week, Abi asks the pair if she could have Alfie for a whole day, to which Toyah agrees, forcing Imran to go along with it.
Later on, Toyah is in the café when she takes a surprising call from Lou.
The social worker requests an urgent meeting to discuss Elsie – but what could it entail?
As mentioned above, Imran and Toyah lost Elsie after the solicitor was exposed for his affair with Abi.
But following Alfie’s birth, Imran has been more than determined to step up to the plate and be a father.
Imran has shown a lot of mistrust in Abi as he’s convinced she is still taking drugs although she is desperately trying to clean up her act.
This has prompted him to let private investigator Ben Chancellor (Jon-Paul Bell) lie in court about seeing Abi exchange money for drugs.
However, Imran could soon get caught up with the truth as Ben was blackmailed by Abi.
Ben was caught by the young mother while he, himself, was trying to score drugs after pressuring Imran to pay him more since helping him get custody of Alfie in such an underhanded way.
