KELLY Neelan hides a shock secret from Gary and Maria next week in Coronation Street.
The teen – played by Millie Gibson in the ITV soap – has been struggling to cope with her mum Laura’s cancer diagnosis.
The 17-year-old has been trying to make things right since she was put in prison for Seb Franklin‘s murder.
Her world came crashing down when her mum revealed that she’s got bowel cancer and she starts taking drugs to cope.
Kelly soon realises that she has to step up and look after her – but has been doing it all in secret.
In upcoming scenes of the show, Gary Windass – who let her move in with him and Maria Connor after the Seb Franklin case – realises that Kelly isn’t around a lot.
The debt collector is curious about what she’s up to, so asks her – to which she makes up a huge lie.
The teen tells them that she’s been out exercising to clear her mind after a busy day.
However, she later reveals to pal Simon Barlow that she’s about to burn out as she’s juggling looking after her mum, school work and working at the barbers.
The school boy pleads with her to open up to Gary and Maria about what’s going on… but will Kelly do it?

Later on in the week Maria drops a huge bombshell after she tells Kelly that she’s got to put more time into working at the barbers.
The teen starts to worry about how she’s going to manage more shifts when her mum is seriously ill.
Simon pleads with her again to tell Maria and Gary, but she refuses.
Kelly’s world comes crashing down when she gets told that her mum is really unwell, so misses her shift at the barbers, and Maria is left questioning why she hasn’t turned up to work.
Simon wants to tell them why…
