KEN Barlow was recently seen bonding once again with his former flame Wendy Crozier.
But there’s bound to be some confusion for the Coronation Street stalwart as another one of his lovers rocks up the cobbles next week.
Ken Barlow has been working in a play at the community centre
But one of his former lovers could distract him from it all
How will he react when Martha rocks up the cobbles?
The long-standing Weatherfield resident portrayed by William Roache has been feeling lonely since the death of his wife Deirdre in 2015.
Fortunately for him, he’s found comfort in the form of Wendy, with whom he rekindled a romantic bond in the past months.
However, as mentioned above, things could get more complicated in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap as Ken continues to focus on a play alongside Mary Taylor and Brian Packham.
It all begins when Brian and Mary (Peter Gunn and Patti Clare) attend rehearsals at the Community Centre with Ken and Nigel (Richard Elis).

Much to Ken’s shock, Nigel admits he’s going to approach an actress friend with a view to replacing Mary.
This prompts Ken, Brian and Wendy to give her a heads up by tentatively suggesting that she should tone down her performance – but Mary won’t be deterred.
Ken and Brian thus suggest to Nigel that he asks his actress friend to give Mary some coaching rather than replace her altogether, knowing she would be upset.
Later on in the community centre, Nigel introduces his actress friend to Brian, Ken and Mary.
But Ken gets another shock when he realises it’s none other than Martha Fraser, another one of his exes.
How will he react?
Former Dynasty actress Stephanie Beacham reprises her role next week, more than a decade after her last appearance in the Manchester-based drama.
Stephanie made her Corrie debut in January, 2009, when Ken Barlow was out walking his dog Eccles near the Weatherfield Canal.
Ken’s dog fell into the freezing water after chasing some ducks and he needed Martha’s help to get her out.
Martha obliged by extending a fishing net from her boat, her primary home, and managed to save the dog before offering both Ken and Eccles a place to warm up.
The pair then bonded over their shared love for literature but Ken kept quiet about his marriage to Deirdre.
After sharing a kiss, Ken finally admitted he was already married, leaving Martha fuming as she told him to leave her be.
But she soon admitted her own romantic feelings for him once he had told her he was in love with her.
Nothing ever really lasts on the Street and Martha had to leave Weatherfield to work in a play somewhere else.
She asked Ken to go with him, which he agreed to, and Martha was delighted to see him with his suitcase.
Sadly, Martha saw Ken for the last time standing on the bridge as she sailed away – he had changed his mind and decided to remain with Deirdre.
