BATTLING terminal cancer has led Laura Neelan to look for her former husband Rick for her daughter Kelly.
The Coronation Street character makes a drastic decision to find the loan shark next week.
Laura (played by actress Kel Allen) returned to the cobbles with the shock announcement she’d been diagnosed with cancer.
When she was told about the devastating diagnosis, her daughter Kelly (Millie Gibson) has decided to look after her during her last months.
Knowing her time is running out, Laura makes a shocking choice in scenes due on our screens next week.

Coming up, Laura announces she intends to hire a private investigator to track down her former husband Ricks in a bid to secure his money for Kelly.
But one Weatherfield resident panics when faced with the news.
Ready to sabotage her efforts and her plan, Gary Windass (Mikey North) tells Laura that he’ll sort a PI himself.
Later, when he meets up with Lenny, Gary explains he wants him to pretend to track down Rick but make no progress whatsoever.
Laura and Gary eventually meet with the PI and when the former explains that she’s trying to track down Rick, the investigator is intrigued to find out Gary was the last person to see Rick alive.
Gary is questioned by the detective about his relationship with Rick – could he be keeping a dark secret?
ITV viewers know that is the case as Gary killed Rick during a dramatic confrontation in the woods in June, 2019, after the ruthless loan shark terrorised Coronation Street residents.
He has since been taking care of Rick’s daughter Kelly, letting her even move in with him and his wife Maria (Samia Longchambon).
Gary thought he could put the whole grisly ordeal behind by burying Rick’s body.
However, despite the years that have gone by, Rick’s body could soon be found.
And with Laura lurking about and trying to find out the truth about Rick’s vanishing, Gary will be confronted with some very tricky questions.
Will Gary be able to hide the truth?
How could Laura and, more importantly, Kelly react to Gary being involved in Rick’s disappearance?
