Simon discovers Leanne has been spending money on a psychic

This week, Leanne will turn to a TV psychic to help cope with her grief.

But next week’s episodes of Corrie will see Leanne hide her appointment with TV psychic Crystal Moon when Simon appears.

Later, Simon returns home to find Leanne clutching Oliver’s feather and grows suspicious.

Simon later confronts Leanne and tells her he’s checked her phone records and knows she’s spending money on calls to a psychic – and that she’s conning her.

Nick is concerned when Leanne tells him a feather is a sign from Oliver

Leanne is nearly run over while chasing a feather

Leanne admits her grief is only getting worse.

Later, Jacob offers Simon another job delivering drugs and he promises to consider the offer.

Meanwhile, Leanne finds another feather and grows convinced it’s a gift from Oliver.

Simon grows pleased the feathers are making Leanne happy and hatches a plan.

Brian hands Leanne a bag Simon dumped with a ripped pillow inside

When Leanne shows another feather to Nick and explains it’s from Oliver, he grows worried.

Disaster strikes when Leanne drops the feather on the street and runs after it, almost getting run over by Mary.

Brian hands Leanne a rubbish bag and says Simon left it in the recycling bin – and she’s shocked to discover there’s a ripped pillow inside.

Leanne lashes out at Simon and slaps him

Furious, she rages at Simon and slaps him.

Corrie boss Ian MacLeod has revealed that Leanne will be forced to defend her son Simon after he gets himself into a lot of trouble.

Speaking about what’s to come in the coming months, Ian said: “What we’re trying to do with Simon and Leanne is find a way to play their grief that doesn’t feel like grief stories that we’ve done and other shows might have done.

“We’ve come up with something that starts quite small, but ends up turning into this colossal, thriller-ish, high-octane piece that will play out in the first six months of 2021.

“It ends up with Simon being driven by grief and getting himself into an inescapable situation.

“That forces Leanne to put her war paint on and go out in defence of her remaining son. She takes on an incredibly dangerous situation in order to protect Simon.

“That ends up drawing in Nick and Sam – and it collides with Peter and Carla’s love story too. It is a grief story, but it’s far removed from being one woman sitting alone in a room and feeling sad.”
