Coronation Street’s Nick Tilsley and Leanne Battersby are attempting to buy the Bistro

Debbie Webster isn’t convinced by the pair’s opening offer

Yet Coronation Street spoilers reveal he’ll now team up with partner Leanne Battersby, played by Jane Danson, to bring the business back into the family fold.

Debbie Webster has been running the high end eatery – a step up from the Rovers Return’s grub – after Ray Crosby fled the Coronation Street cobbles in 2019.

Leanne and Nick, played by Ben Price, opted to take a step away from the pressures of real-life after the tragic passing of Leanne’s son Oliver.

Then came her involvement with drug lord Harvey, in an attempt to protect son Simon, before Nick’s son Sam went missing.

BACK TO WORK

Yet in taking things down a notch, the pair both confess they have become bored, with Leanne’s step-sister Toyah providing a listening ear for them both.

She encourages the pair to admit to each other they have made a mistake – before Leanne reveals she has got a plan.

She manages to persuade her childhood sweetheart they should make an offer to buy the bistro, as it is clear Debbie is struggling.

Of course, Nick is immediately won over and puts plans in place.

Yet the pair’s enthusiasm is dampened when Debbie turns it down point blank, insisting it is far too low.

She tells them she would be willing to sell a 50 per cent stake in the eatery instead, but when she names her sky-high price, Leanne is astounded and sends her packing.

It remains to be seen whether Leanne has burned their bridges, or if they will again be at the helm of the business.
