Coronation Street spoilers: Summer collapses and gets shock diagnosis after Billy suspects she has an eating disorder

SUMMER Spellman collapses and gets a shock diagnosis after Billy suspects her of having an eating disorder next week in Coronation Street. 

Summer has been struggling to cope in the wake of Seb Franklin’s murder.

Viewers know that Corey Brent kicked Seb to death as part of a vicious hate crime attack against Nina because she was dressed as a goth. 

Summer was with Corey and his mates on the night of the attack, but headed home before things turned nasty. 

The teen has been battling a guilty conscience ever since, however, after wondering if things could’ve been different if she’d stuck around that night. 

In scenes set to air next week, Summer takes Billy and Todd for Father’s Day lunch at the bistro but worries Billy when she keeps going to the toilet before leaving to get back to her revision. 

Todd suggests it’s time he moved in properly and Billy is thrilled, but when they return to the flat to find Summer collapsed on the floor, they put their moving in plans on hold. 

Later in the week, Summer is horrified when Billy suggests she might have an eating disorder. 

When she collapses again, they take her to hospital and everyone is shocked when she’s diagnosed with type one diabetes. 

Summer struggles to process the news that she’ll have to manage her condition with injections.

Back at the flat, Summer shows Todd and Billy how she has to check her blood sugar and inject herself with insulin. 

Later, Billy tells Todd he’s changed his mind and that he should move in.
