SALLY and Tim decide to get healthy as the New Year begins on Coronation Street.
But a health check will cause trouble in paradise as the co-owner of Street Cars will hide a troubling health diagnosis from his wife.
Tim Metcalfe (played by Joe Duttine) has been happily married to Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) since 2014.
Despite their different approaches to life – and nearing separation after Tim’s Las Vegas wedding to Charlie Wood came to light – Sally and Tim have one of the happiest marriages on the ITV soap.
To make things even better, Tim knows no feud with Sally’s ex-husband Kevin, who tied the knot with Abi Franklin (played by Sally Carman, Joe’s off-screen partner).

In other words, Sally and Tim’s life is all smooth sailing which only encouraged ITV bosses to throw in some drama.
In an episode due on the air in the new year, the couple kick-start 2022 with a new and healthy lifestyle and book their own health checks with Dr. Gaddas.
However, when Sally passes her test and deems that both of them deserve a treat, Tim is reluctant.
He then appears taking a furtive phone call to confirm an appointment, leaving Sally none the wiser.
Tim later refuses to join Sally for a run, insisting that he needs to go to work.
A text appearing on his phone confirms a medical appointment that afternoon at 3pm, which he nervously attends.
As it turns out, Tim has booked an appointment with a cardiology consultant and soon finds out he will need a massive operation to avoid death.
Despite the worrying diagnosis, Tim still refuses to tell Sally anything, which only prompts her to think the worst.
When Peter tells her Tim lied and never went to work after skipping his run with her, Sally is uneasy and quickly assumes that her husband may be embarrassed to be seen with her.
