Coronation Street star Jane Danson reveals devastating ‘missed miscarriage’ saying ‘the pain will stay with me forever’

CORONATION Street star Jane Danson has bravely talked about her heartache after secretly suffering a “missed miscarriage”.

The Leanne Battersby actress was told her unborn baby had no heartbeat at her three-month scan.

Jane, 43, said during Baby Loss Awareness Week: “The pain of having a ‘missed miscarriage’ will stay with me forever.

“My 3 months scan showed there was no heartbeat yet my body continued to be pregnant for some time. It was devastating.

“The worst thing that I did was not talk about what I was going through and somehow it made the heartache even more painful.

“In time I learnt to talk and express just how broken I felt.”

Former Dancing on Ice star Jane is married to Brookside, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks actor Robert Beck.

The couple have two sons – 16-year-old Harry and Sam, 13.

It’s not know when Jane suffered the missed or delayed miscarriage, which is described by the NHS as a miscarriage diagnosed during a routine scan carried out as part of your antenatal care.

A scan may reveal the baby has no heartbeat or is too small for the date of your pregnancy.

SHe added: “With the love of my husband @robertbeck529 and support from my friends and family I began to heal. Sending love to anyone suffering,” she wrote. And she added: “#waveoflight #babylossawarenessweek #babyloss.”

Jane has played Coronation Street’s Leanne since 1997,
