Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report’s TV Mag, she said she had a “weird relationship” with Twitter

The 28-year-old who plays the role of Daisy King in Coronation Street has said she’s permanently left Twitter.

Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report’s TV Mag, she said she had a “weird relationship” with the platform.

Charlotte said: “I feel like I have a healthy relationship with social media. It’s a tricky line, I don’t want to overshare but then also if I’m having a really lovely time on holiday, I don’t want to overthink it.

“My mum would like me to post more regularly… It also depends on work, how much spare time you have, there’s a lot of factors that go into it.

“But I think Instagram itself is a really pleasant platform.

“Twitter, I had a bit more of a weird relationship with so I came off it when I joined this show.

“It can be really nice, but it can also be really mean and really toxic. People sit there and think of hateful things to write and I don’t know why anybody would want to put that out into the universe.”

Meanwhile, Charlotte told how when she was 15 her agent organised for her to go to an audition.

But instead of it being for an acting gig, it was for a place in Geri Horner‘s band.

The popstar was putting a new group together which Charlotte ended up getting a part in.

She said: “It’s just so random! (laughs) My life is so random! I was a baby, I was 15 I think.

“It was just an audition that my agent sent me on like any other, but instead of it being for TV or film or theatre, it was for a pop group.
