CORONATION Street’s Summer Spellman’s life will be left hanging in the balance next week after Todd Grimshaw’s scheming takes a disastrous turn.

What do we know about Summer’s car crash in Corrie?
Todd decides to use fake abuse victim Will in a final attempt to sabotage Billy and Paul’s relationship, instructing him to break into their flat and smash things up.
But disaster strikes when Summer bumps into Will and rushes outside onto the street, where she runs into the path of an oncoming car.
When Paul reluctantly reveals that Will was behind the break-in that caused Summer’s accident, Billy rages at Paul for bringing the teenager into their lives.
Is Todd going to split up Billy and Paul?
When Summer returns home from hospital later in the week, she notices there’s tension between Paul and Billy.
Could this be the end for the couple?
Corrie boss Ian MacLeod has confirmed that Todd will eventually get his way and split up Billy and Paul.
He told Metro.co.uk: “[It’s an]Incredibly toxic love story.
“I love Todd, Gareth [Pierce] has been a real find and he has a natural chemistry with Dan Brocklebank.
“Todd never goes with something in a normal way – it’s bags of skullduggery, he kind of enjoys his torturing, he is very selfish when he wants something and that prize in this case is Billy.
“In an underhand way, he undermines Billy and Paul’s relationship – he will get what he wants but the lengths he goes to will be his undoing.
He added: “In an explosive and thriller-ish way later in the year, Todd’s deceit will come to light.”
What happened between Todd and Billy in Corrie?
Todd and Billy first started their fling in Corrie back in 2016 while the vicar was still dating Sean.
Sean then dumped Billy after growing suspicious about his increasing closeness to Todd, leaving romance to blossom between the couple.
The loved-up pair then made it official and became the legal guardians of Summer, who is the daughter of Billy’s late ex Drew.
When Todd departed from the cobbles the following year, he and boyfriend Billy were in the middle of a custody battle with Summer’s biological grandmother.
