CORONATION Street’s Andy McDonald actor Nicholas Cochrane looked completely different as he arrived for rare TV appearance in Leeds today.
The actor, 48, first hit our screens as Steve McDonald’s twin brother on the ITV soap in 1989 when he was just 16-years-old.
He starred in the soap until 1997 when his character left the cobbles to become an English teacher in Spain.
Since then has made number of occasional returns to Weatherfield.
This morning the star looked worlds apart from her alter-ego as he walked the streets of the northern city in smart attire.
Nicholas opted for a light blue shirt and navy trousers.
He completed the look with a pair of black trainers and a huge watch on his wrist.
He was also seen with a second outfit option which consisted of a blue tartan shirt and chinos.
Back in 2020 Nick Cochrane revealed he fears his character will make a comeback, but will be played by another actor.
He said in the Distinct Nostalgia podcast that he’s terrified of Andy being handed a meaty new part and soap chiefs casting a new actor.
Nick said: “What I dread is Andy coming back and it’s not me because, let’s be honest, that could happen, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.”
After his stint on Corrie, Nick went on to play parts in ITV’s Heartbeat, A Study in Red Trilogy and A Dish Served Cold.
The soap star has made plenty of TV appearances over the years including Loose Women, The South Bank Show, Piers Morgan’s Life Stories and Canada AM.
Most recently played Dean Telford in Doctors two years ago.
