Coronation Street’s Cassie Plummer hiding a huge secret as she convinces son Tyrone Dobbs to let her move in

CORONATION Street has revealed Cassie Plummer is hiding a huge secret after she manipulated Tyrone Dobbs into letting her move in.

The drug addict – who is played by actress Claire Sweeney in the ITV soap – has claimed to be clean since mum Evelyn Plummer helped her kick the habit.

But in tonight’s episode that proved not to be the case.

With Tyrone shaken by the return from the dead his mother had pulled off, and the lies told to him by Evelyn, he was desperate for the truth.

Visiting them at the flat they were staying in, Tyrone wanted answers but Cassie only had lies in response.

“I was in such a state back then, I was on the gear, I was sleeping round, I was even…”she said to Tyrone before blaming Evelyn for all her woes.

She claimed her dad was a misery, she was bullied at school, her mum had no sympathy and by 12 she was on booze.

Cassie even claimed Evelyn had blamed her for her dad’s dead, and said she spat in her face for it.

“I ended up back in Liverpool in various squats and then on the streets,” she said.

But finding herself pregnant – and with no idea who the father was – she abandoned her baby with Evelyn.

Insisting she has been clean since September, Cassie did her best to separate Tyrone from Evelyn.

Tyrone fell for it and made a shock decision to invite Cassie to stay with him, leaving Evelyn in the bedsit.

However as she sat in Tyrone’s dining room gushing about how she can’t believe that she’s having dinner with her son, she was hiding something shocking.

Viewers got a sneak peek into her bag which contained the drugs she had claimed to be free from.

A box of nerve pain medication pregabalin sat ready for Cassie to take again, proving she’s back on the gear and is full of lies.

Fans are horrified.

One wrote: Cassie is definitely going to try and drain Tyrone of all his money so she can buy drugs again?

A second said: “That Cassie’s got a sinister look in her eyes and there’s the Pregabalin in her bag.”

Another added: “My heartbreaks for Evelyn. Cassie is manipulating Tyrone you can tell. Now Evelyn is totally isolated from her family.”
