Coronation Street’s Faye Windass and Emma Brooker mow down a pensioner in horrific car accident

CORONATION Street fans will watch in horror as Faye Windass and Emma Brooker mow down a frail pensioner.

The shocking car accident comes as Faye (Ellie Leach) attempts to settle into everyday life after being released from prison in time for Christmas.

And things just don’t seem to be going her way as she and Emma (Alexandra Mardell) encounter more drama during a driving lesson.

Steve’s eldest daughter tries to show Faye how to drive but when the youngster makes a terrible mistake, the pair are left distraught.

Faye collides with an OAP out shopping and the two of them are forced to make a decision.

With secrets and lies seeming to follow Emma around, she agrees to keep tight-lipped about what they’ve done.

Eagled-eyed Corrie viewers will notice the elderly man is played by comic Duggie Brown, the brother of former Corrie star Lyn Perrie, who played the role of Ivy Tilsey.

This week Faye will be visited by dad Tim and it’s clear she isn’t coping well in prison.

So Debbie decides to take matters into her own hands and starts digging into Ray’s crimes to find something to use against him.

And she does – as she finds proof he paid someone to create the sinkhole in the Platts’ garden.

It led to the deaths of Johnny Connor and unwittingly Natasha Blakeman.

Visiting him in prison she tells him that unless he pleads guilty to sexually assaulting Faye, she’s going to report him to the police for the death of Johnny Connor.

With the sexual assault confession in, it will mean Faye has a chance at appealing her sentence for attacking Adam.

And the soap has already revealed it will be successful.
