Actor Zennon Ditchett transitions from acting to accounting

Coronation Street's original Aadi Alahan star, Zennon Ditchett, who portrayed Dev Alahan's son Aadi from 2009 to 2020, has undergone a major career change. The young actor made the decision to depart from the long-running soap opera to focus on his A Level studies and has since started a new job as a management accountant at REFY.

Aadi's role recast

Following Zennon's departure, the character of Aadi was recast with actor Adam Hussain taking on the role. Adam has been involved in significant storylines on the show, including Asha’s sexting plot with Corey Brent and the violent attack on Seb Franklin and Nina Lucas.

Adam Hussain shared his experience of joining Coronation Street, expressing how he has learned and grown both as an actor and a person. Despite initially feeling nervous about replacing a long-standing cast member, Adam has found his footing and connected with the audience through his portrayal of Aadi.

Since leaving the show, Zennon Ditchett has maintained a relatively private life, with occasional updates on social media. In 2021, he even opened a Depop store to sell his unwanted designer clothes, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit alongside his career transition.
