CORONATION Street’s Ryan Connor will be left devastated as he is dumped by Alya Nazir after Daisy’s sick scheme works.
Actor Ryan Prescott has opened up about his character’s heartbreak ahead of the scenes expected to air next week on the ITV soap.
Next week’s episodes will see Alya brutally dump Ryan after scheming Daisy Midgeley succeeds in driving a wedge between the couple.
Having gone out with Daisy to drink cocktails at The Rover’s Return, Ryan wakes up in her bed the next morning with no memory of what happened.
Having begged Daisy to keep quiet about the ordeal, she heads straight to see Alya to spill the beans about their night in bed together.
Speaking to The Celeb Report and other media, he said of Ryan’s reaction: “Inside he’s furious and he has a relationship with this girl as well – a friendship.
“I think that he’s caught off guard. I don’t think he expected her to do anything like that. Then it’s all about Alya.
“Ryan is so used to wrecking everything and making poor choices. There’s that element of inevitability to it, where I think he has a tendency to give up.
“He thinks, ‘Oh well, this is me. This is what I always do. I’ve done it again’. I think there’s an element of that – and at the same time he’s just furious.”
Asked whether Ryan wants to save the relationship, he added: “He’s devastated and he wants to save the relationship above all costs.
“I think there’s a window for that for him and he’s hopeful of it, but I think that’s it. I don’t think he believes he deserves to be forgiven for this.
“I believe that Ryan needs to be with Alya. I believe that there’s more room for him to grow as a character and as a human being, investing in his life.
“There was talk of Ryan and Alya buying a home together and I think it scared him. That is one of the factors that pushed him away.
“The DJ-ing hasn’t really taken off and he wasn’t taken very seriously by the person that he loves the most. I think Ryan feels a little bit lost.”
Fans will have to tune in next week to watch the drama unfold, as Ryan is left alone and furious as Alya sends him away.
On Friday, fans were left disgusted after Daisy plied Ryan with alcohol so she could sexually assault him.
Staying sober to manipulate him, she poured her fake heart out to him in an effort to take advantage – with Ryan too drunk to give any form of consent.
Fans were disgusted with Daisy’s actions.
One wrote: “I’m sorry but if the rolls were reversed that’d be rape… She literally got him rat arse and now she trying to get him to bed… Creepy predictor..”

Another added: “Wow. What Daisy is doing to Ryan is truly sickening. Is there anything more cruel than getting someone under the influence of drink and coercing them into bed when they’re not in the right state of mind?”
