COUNTDOWN’S Susie Dent has opened up on her relationship with new host Anne Robinson amidst the ongoing Rachel Riley ‘feud’.

Susie joined Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and spoke about her career on the iconic game show – with Anne the topic of conversation.

Anne became the host of the popular Channel 4 quiz show earlier this year

Speaking about her time on the show, Susie complimented the former Weakest Link host and revealed she is a “brilliant interviewer”.

Introducing Susie to Sunday Brunch, she revealed to the hosts: “I have been on there, well my first appearance was in 1992.”

“Wow, so 30 years this year,” said Tim, blown away by her long-standing reign.

Tim then added: “How is Anne Robinson, the new host?”

“Yeah, it’s great,” Susie candidly revealed.

“Every host brings something different to the show, and I was thinking about this.

“One thing I’m really noticing with her kind of, under her reign, is we get these mini-interviews that we didn’t have before.”

Simon then asked: “I was thinking it must be quite hard to go in as a new host because, you know, you’ve been on it for 30 years.”

Susie laughed and added: “Well, hopefully, it doesn’t quite feel like that, but no, you’re right, I mean it’s so established.”

Susie’s comments came after Anne broke her silence on her ‘feud’ with fellow Countdown star Rachel – admitting “I’m hard to please”.

Tensions on the set of Countdown were said to have reached such heights that Rachel was considering leaving.

Earlier this year, The Celeb Report exclusively revealed how the pair have clashed over dressing rooms, make-up artists and wardrobe budgets backstage.
