COUNTRYFILE viewers took to Twitter in frustration after the latest BBC schedule shake-up.
Countryfile has become a firm favourite of Sunday night viewing for fans of the show, with the programme usually airing between 5:30pm and 7:30pm on the broadcaster’s flagship channel.
Countryfile was moved from BBC One to BBC Two to accommodate the Worldcup final
Fans of the show were “livid” at the schedule shakeup
Its time slot usually changes to accommodate what else viewers are able to watch during the day.
But, fans of the show were devastated to find out that the programme had been moved from it’s original slot on BBC One to BBC Two instead to make way for the Worldcup finals.
Kicking off at 3pm, and over-running due to the game going into extra time, the Argentina vs France match took place from Qatar stadium as millions of viewers tuned in to watch the final.
Unfortunately, this meant Countryfile had to be moved to BBC Two to accommodate coverage.

Fans of the show were not happy and took to social media to complain about the schedule shakeup.
One viewer wrote: “Mbappe has single-handedly got Countryfile shifted to BBC2.”
Another penned: “How annoying that Countryfile has been moved to BBC Two.”
A third raged: “Countryfile moved to BBC2. Livid.”
A fourth added: “Can’t believe they’ve moved Countryfile to BBC2.”
A fifth echoed: “Cannot believe they moved Countryfile to BBC2, that’s a joke.”
Countryfile airs weekly on BBC One and reports on rural, agricultural and environmental issues in the UK. John Craven is the show’s most long-standing presenter, working on the programme for more than 30 years after joining the show the following year.
