BBC viewers were left hitting out at the latest episode of Countryfile as they criticised the programme over a shocking report on water.
It led many to complain that the show was forcing a false narrative over the state of water and droughts in the country.

It mainly concerned water supplies across the South of England
During the BBC One programme, John Craven and Margherita Taylor were in Porthcawl for the heavily criticsed episode.
The programme discussed how an abundance of heatwaves and droughts left water supplies running low and dry across the country last year.
In the report, it added that pressure was on “humans” like never before to control their water supplies amid predicted heatwaves again.
It went onto add that rare ecosystems found in the South of England, were heavily affected by excessive water use.
With the UK being home to 85% of the world’s chalk streams, the programme highlighted concerns at the amount of water we were taking and using and how this could have a long-lasting impact on the wildlife that live there.
However, fans were left furious as they insisted that the BBC was making ‘something out of nothing’.
Viewers were unhappy with the many reports in the episode and insisted its view of the countryside and what goes on there merely came from the “London elite”.
One fan raged: “I’m sorry but #countryfile has become the epitome of a London view / city elites perception of the countryside and what agendas we should all be lectured on … I’ve lost interest and won’t bother tuning in anymore.”
Another added: “Countryfile report the amount of heat waves and droughts this year so far is having a devastating effecting on the environment really just how many heat waves has the U.K. had this year only 1 as far as I know talk about pushing fake news and pushing a narrative #countryfile.”
Critical comments continued as one blasted the show for failing to highlight just how much water companies have to do with the issue.
They wrote online: “If ‘WE’ take too much water?
“Are ‘WE’ the profiteering water companies who would rather take this water than fix leaks and improve the infrastructure?”
It isn’t the first time that the show has come under fire from fans.
Disgusted fans hit out at the programme’s recent Wild Britain special as they argued it had become ‘too political’.
