Countryfile’s Anita Rani is unrecognisable after glam transformation for All Star Musicals performance

COUNTRYFILE’S Anita Rani looks completely unrecognisable after a glam transformation in the festive special of All Star Musicals.

The 44-year-old sported the dramatic new look as she performed All That Jaz from the classic Chicago – famously performed by Catherine Zeta-Jones in the film version.

Host John Barrowman said the Countryfile presenter will bring the ‘sex factor’ to the show

A show insider told the Daily Star: “This is a completely new look for Anita. It really helped her get into the right mindset for the performance.”

In the show, fans will be able to see a different side to Anita – a move in which she is thrilled about.

She said “What better time to come together to perform some show-stopping musical hits on stage.

“It’s a festive treat that’s guaranteed to bring some sparkle to everyone’s living rooms this Christmas.”

Other celebs getting makeovers for the show include Ben Miller, Gyles Brandreth, Catherine Tyldesley and Fern Britton.

The judges are Samantha Barks, Elaine Paige and Trevor Dion Nicholas.

Meanwhile, host John Barrowman said he believes Anita will bring the sex factor to the show.

“Anita Rani brings another persona from what we see of her on television because she’s normally in welly boots and a wax coat in the countryside,” he said.

“In this show, she’s got silk stockings, high heeled shows and a very glamourous glitzy dress on so it’s the complete opposite for her.

“She brings glamour and sexiness to the stage in the context of the performance.”

All Star Musicals will be available to watch on Boxing Day at 8pm on ITV.
