Dancing On Ice in chaos as Billie Faiers quits show after fall leaving series with NO replacements

DANCING On Ice has been thrown into chaos as the bloodbath series has run out of reserves for the first time in the show’s history.

Stand-by celeb skaters Amy Tinkler and Matt Richardson have already been drafted into the main cast to replace Denise Van Outen and Rufus Hound.

Billie Faiers’ departure comes as the show has run out of reserves

And so there is no one left to replace Billie Faiers as she was forced to quit the competition before tonight’s show after hitting her head on the rink in a fall.

The Sun exclusively reported the ex-Towie star, 31, was left with concussion and ordered by medics to pull out of the ITV series for her own safety.

Rufus was kicked off after testing positive for coronavirus and Denise dislocated her shoulder and was told she’d lost her place on the ice.

Last week Phillip Schofield revealed the ITV show can’t afford any more injuries or illness.

And it seems the show’s host jinxed things as now there are no stand-ins available to replace injured Billie.

“It is very strict at the rink, which is how we’ve been able to keep the show on, but we are really sad that Rufus should go,” Phillip said on This Morning.

“I asked my team about this and we realised that is the first time ever we’ve used both of our reserves.”

Olympian Amy Tinkler made her debut last weekend after replacing Denise.

Meanwhile comedian Matt Richardson will step into Rufus’ skates tonight.

Phillip then went on to list the celebrities who have pulled out in previous series and been replaced by a star reserve.

“Series three Michael Underwood was injured so Zara Abraham stepped in and came third,” said Phil.

“Series seven, Chesney Hawkes withdrew because of an injury and was replaced by Chico who came third.

“Gareth Thomas withdrew, but wasn’t replaced.

“Monty Panesar injured before transmission and replaced by Lemar.

“Michael Barrymore was also injured in pre-transmission.

“Now Rufus Hound and Denise Van Outen have left from this year.”

Judge Christopher Dean

Holly jumped in to warn Phillip about highlighting all of the injuries caused by signing up to the show.

“I’m amazed we get anyone to sign up for the show quite frankly,” she said.

“You’re sort of doing us a disservice here, Phil.”

Judge Christopher Dean added: “I always say to the reserves, ‘practice, practice’, because you have got a 60 per cent chance of being part of the show.

“This year is no different. It’s exciting for them and exciting for us as well.”
