DANCING On Ice has revealed its latest star today – with the line-up for the next series nearly complete.

ITV announced today that Carley Stenson would be the ninth name to appear on the hit skating show.

The actress is famous for appearing on Channel 4‘s Hollyoaks as Steph Cunningham for 11 years.

She said today: “I’m so excited that I get to learn how to dance… on ice! I’m terrified but can’t wait – I just want to make the most of this whole experience.”

The confirmation that Carly would appear comes after The Celeb Report revealed she would be doing the show.

A source explained that the star’s Strictly finalist husband Danny Mac, 34, would be able to help coach her to success.

They said: “Carley’s husband knows a thing or two about doing well in a TV talent contest like this and he’s sure to be sharing some valuable advice for her as she prepares to take to the rink.”

It comes after stand-up comedian Darren Harriott was revealed as Dancing on Ice’s eighth contestant on Trisha Goddard’s TalkTV show.

They will join a line-up that currently includes Towie star Joey Essex, Drag Race UK’s The Vivienne, Mollie Gallagher from Coronation Street and gymnast Nile Wilson.

Earlier stars to be revealed were Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, ex footballer John Fashanu and EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will host the show in 2023
