THE Dancing On Ice final is set for a huge shake up, which could affect who wins the show.
This weekend will see Joey Essex, The Vivienne and Nile Wilson go head to head on the ice, but it won’t be plain sailing.
Creative director Dan Whiston has revealed there is a twist this week
Joey Essex will be taking part in the final
The show’s creative director – Dan Whiston – has revealed there is one big change, that viewers aren’t expecting.
He explained to the Mirror: “Everyone will be doing a showcase which is being worked on with Torvill and Dean.
“So Torvill and Dean teach them a showcase – and that showcase is a huge production number which will include extra professionals who will join the company. Also, dancers on the stage – huge production numbers.
“But there is also a new number that is coming in and I can’t give too much away about it but it’s super exciting and it will make a difference to the score and it will make a difference to the result. Don’t want to give away too much, but there’s something new in the final to look out for!”]
Nile, 27, is currently the front runner to win Dancing On Ice.
He has had the most points in the skating series so far after gaining a perfect score last Sunday, and has never found himself in the skate-off.
When asked how it feels to be the frontrunner, Nile said skating well is about “the process, not the results”.
He added: “This is very new to me but I quite like it, I don’t feel pressure.
“I just think all we can do is go out there every week and skate the best we can.”
The Dancing on Ice final will air on March 12 at 6.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
