DEATH in Paradise is releasing a Christmas special for the first time in 10 years of the show airing.
The 90-minute episode, sees DI Neville Parker solving yet another murder along with some guest stars. Here’s who you can expect to see on your screens this Boxing Day.
Who stars in the Death in Paradise Christmas special?
Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker
Ralf Alastair John Little is a 41-year-old English actor, writer, presenter, narrator and former semi-professional footballer.
He played Antony Royle in The Royle Family and Jonny Keogh in the first six series of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
His character Neville Parker, is Saint Marie’s resident detective inspector, who plans to return home to Manchester for Christmas but is disrupted when a dead body is discovered on a beach.
Josephine Jobert as DS Florence Caswell
Joséphine Jobert is a 36-year-old French actress and singer.
She has appeared in Avenue 5, Time Is Murderous (Le temps est assassin), Cut, Summer Crush and Under the Saint Tropez Sun (Sous le soleil de Saint-Tropez).
Her character, Florence Cassell works alongside Neville in the Saint Marie police force as a detective sergeant.
Neville has romantic feelings for Florence and they continue to grow in the 10th season’s finale.
The series wraps up before we could watch his confession come out, and more importantly, hear what she had to say.
Don Warrington as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson
Don Warrington MBE is a 70-year-old Trinidadian-born British actor.
Dom has appeared in a number of productions on the stage and screen production.
His most prominent roles being Philip in Rising Damp.
In 2008, he competed in Strictly Come Dancing, in which he was partnered with Lilia Kopylova. Warrington left the competition in week five.
Selwyn Patterson has an integral part in Death in Paradise, he oversees the running of the island’s police department and has a calm approach to all matters.
Tahj Miles as Trainee officer Marlon Pryce
Tahj Miles is an actor, best known for Class Dismissed (2016), Death in Paradise (2011) and Small Axe (2020).
His character, Marlon Pryce in Death in Paradise has an eventful journey in the series.
When he first arrived in season 10, he was a criminal who spent his days scamming tourists.
However, he has managed to turn his life around and is now a trainee officer with the local police.
Elizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey
Élizabeth Clémentine Madeleine Bourgine is a 64-year-old French actress, appearing in film, television and theater.
She is credited with more than 60 roles in film and television, mostly French productions.
Her charaycer Catherine Bordey is the island’s mayor and also owns her own beachfront bar.
Like many of us, Catherine is also desperate to know what happened between Neville and Florence.
