Death in Paradise fans all have the same demand after Christmas Special

DEATH in Paradise fans all have the same demand after watching the Christmas Special.

The BBC crime drama aired its first ever festive edition on Sunday, with Ralf Little returning as DCI Neville Parker and Danny John-Jules reprising his role as Dwayne Myers.

Viewers loved Colin Babcock and want the character to be a permanent fixture on the show

The episode also saw a new face arrive in Saint-Marie, as London taxi driver Colin Babcock arrived with a Christmas card containing a mysterious message.

His arrival coincided with the death of a billionaire shipping mogul and after Neville cracked the case, he had some good news for Colin.

He not only helped Colin find out who his real father was, but he also revealed that his birth father was super rich, and Colin was the only surviving blood relative and heir, meaning he inherited his whole estate, including a stunning home on the island.

Colin, who had dreamed of one day basking in the Caribbean sun, was floored by the revelations, and won fans hearts in the process.

Taking to Twitter, they begged bosses to make Colin’s character a permanent fixture in the show.

One Death in Paradise fan wrote: “So can Dwayne come back for good? I miss him. Also can Colin become a recurring character like Catherine is? One who pops up every so often #DeathInParadise.”

Another tweeted: “Gonna make a petition for more Colin screen time #DeathInParadise.”

A third added: “Rather good though. Can we keep Colin as an assistant? #DeathInParadise.”

A fellow viewer agreed, writing: “Is there a petition to make Colin a recurring character? Gotta love @realmatbaynton #DeathinParadise.”

However, actor Mathew Baynton who played Colin is a busy man, as he is one of the creators of the BBC comedy series Ghosts.

He is also a member of the Horrible Histories team, and so may not be able to spend a good chunk of the year filming in the Caribbean, as is required of the Death in Paradise cast.
