Death in Paradise viewers left fuming as BBC makes ‘criminal’ change to show in series 10 premiere

DEATH in Paradise viewers have been left fuming after the BBC made a ‘criminal’ change to the show in the series 10 premiere.

The hit crime drama returned last night for its 10th series with Ralf Little starring as lead detective DI Neville Parker.

Death in Paradise viewers were left raging at a major change to the show last night

However, in the opening minutes of the show, viewers were horrified to discover that the show’s jaunty theme tune had changed.

The opening music has been the same since the show began in 2011, and viewers were not impressed by the newly tweaked tune.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “The most criminal thing about #DeathInParadise this week is the destruction of the classic theme music. Life is hard enough guys, please change it back. (Appreciate this is a first world problem).”

Another tweeted: “No, no, sorry, put the theme music back to how it was please. Mum and I are protesting greatly here!!”

A third demanded: “Change the music back!!! I can’t get my Summer groove on to that theme tune! [sic]”.

Meanwhile a fourth raged: “No, no, sorry, put the theme music back to how it was please. Mum and I are protesting greatly here!!”

The new theme music may have gone down like a burst lilo with viewers, but they were happy to see Josephine Jobert return as DS Florence Cassell.

Florence had left Saint Marie after the death of her fiance, but returned to work with Neville on his latest murder case.
