DEATH in Paradise has welcomed dozens of guest stars to its tropical shores since the show began in 2011.
Each episode of the BBC crime drama features a new guest star, and over the years a whole host of famous faces have flown out to Guadeloupe to film scenes with the cast, including a number of absolute hunks.
Ahead of former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher’s arrival on the fictional island of Saint Marie, here are just some of the hunkiest actors who have headed to Paradise and left us hot under the collar.
Luke Pasqualino
The former Our Girl actor appeared in the second episode of series 10 last week as Ed Lancer.
Ed was a trainee archaeologist but had his sights set on bigger and more lucrative things and becoming the new Indiana Jones.
This led him to secretly poison the professor in charge of the dig, before trying to blame it on a colleague.
However, he was soon found out by DI Neville Parker, leaving his career plans in tatters.
Matt Di Angelo
Way back in series one, former EastEnders actor Matt Di Angelo guest starred in the second episode, called Wicked Wedding Night.
His character, Darren Moore, discovers his bride, Lisa, has been murdered on their wedding day after being impaled in the stomach with a spear gun.
Thankfully, the grieving groom was innocent, with a hotel butler called William being revealed as the killer, having mistakenly murdering Lisa rather than his intended victim, a maid called Margaret.
Richard Blackwood
Another former EastEnders actor to turn up in Saint Marie was Richard Blackwood in series eight.
In the episode titled Murder on the Airwaves, Richard played Carlton Smith, a colleague of a murdered DJ who was shot and killed live on air.
Richie Campbell
In series seven, Waterloo Road star Richie guest starred as Dashel Jordan, a local restaurateur on Saint Marie.
He had recently reconnected with his estranged aunt, who ended up helping DI Jack Mooney solve the murder of a faith healer called Steadman King.
Sean Maguire
Ex-EastEnders star Sean Maguire was the first ever guest star on Death in Paradise way back in series one in 2011.
He played Marlon Collins, who found himself in a jail cell, but not necessarily for the two murders that took place on the island in that episode.
Keith Duffy
Boyzone singer and former Coronation Street actor Keith Duffy arrived in Saint Marie in series one as a member of the newly reformed band Venerators.
However, lead singer Solly is found dead in his stage coffin, making all the remaining group members suspects.
Paul Nicholls
Walford seems to lead directly to Saint Marie, as another former EastEnders actor – Paul Nicholls – guest starred in Death in Paradise in series five back in 2016.
The episode, called Posing in Murder, sees DI Humphrey Goodman investigating the murder of a fashion model.
Paul plays fashion photographer Jay Croker, who ends up being a suspect alongside the model’s stalker and a fashion designer among others.
Robert James Collier
The former Downton Abbey and Coronation Street star appeared in series eight episode, Murder on the Honoré Express.
Robert played Oliver Carr, a passenger on a bus which sees a stabbing take place, leading to the death of fellow traveller Paul Raynor.
The four other passengers and the bus driver are the only suspects, but none of them could have committed the crime without the others witnessing it.
Will Mellor
The former Line of Duty star appeared in series four episode, Hidden Secrets in 2015.
Will played doctor Karl Slater, whose patient Jake Peters was murdered inside his surf school despite the door being locked from the inside with no other means of escape.
When he tells DI Humphrey Goodman Jake was terminally ill, it helps the detective solve the case.
Kelvin Fletcher
The former Emmerdale actor guest stars in this week’s episode of the hit BBC crime drama as Gavin Jackson, a lottery winner living the high life on Saint Marie.
But despite having all the luxuries many of us could only dream of, their is trouble in paradise for Gavin and his wife.
Death in Paradise continues on Thursday, January 21 at 9pm on BBC One. All series are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
