Death in Paradise’s Ralf Little slammed for ‘ruining’ new series after dropping huge spoiler live on TV

DEATH in Paradise’s Ralf Little has been slammed for ‘ruining’ the new series after dropping a huge spoiler live on TV.

The 41-year-old actor plays DI Neville Parker in the hit BBC series, with season 11 currently airing on Friday nights.

Death in Paradise’s Ralf Little was told off for ‘ruining’ the show during an appearance on Saturday Kitchen

Ralf revealed that Harry the Lizard is not real and is actually created using CGI

Ralf appeared on Saturday Kitchen at the weekend to discuss the drama, and recalled a funny moment in a production meeting.

He said: “The director who’s worked in TV for like 35 years, and really knew his stuff, was like, ‘Okay, last question, Harry the Lizard, is he well trained? Is he a good performer?'”

Ralf added: “The lizard is a CGI effect.”

Host Matt Tebbutt was stunned and replied: “Is it? Don’t spoil it! I watched it last night.”

With a laugh Ralf replied: “This director thought, ‘They’ve really trained that lizard well’.”

As laughter broke out in the studio, Matt still appeared shocked, and Ralf said: “If I may say, you’re a layman watching the show, you’re not a 35-year season director, so that was quite funny.”

Matt told him: “You’ve just ruined it for me, you’ve ruined it.”

Matt was not alone in his dismay at learning the truth about Harry, who has popped up throughout the show’s 10 year run.

Taking to Twitter, one Death in Paradise viewer wrote: “@RalfLittle has just disclosed Harry the Lizard from Death in Paradise is CGI on @SaturdayKitchen. Weekend ruined.”

Another added: “I can’t believe that Harry the lizard isn’t real.”

A fellow fan of the show tweeted: “Hell for telling us Harry was CGI!!!! Love Death in Paradise but won’t be able to watch it the same way now!”

Meanwhile another shared: “Harry the lizard is cgi – devastated my life will never be the same.”

Harry has popped up on a number of occasions during the BBC show’s run

Death in Paradise airs Fridays at 9pm on BBC One. Saturday Kitchen airs at 10am on BBC Two on Saturdays.
