DIARY of a Wimpy Kid’s Rowley actor looks unrecognisable 13 years on from starring in the film.

Actor Robert Capron played the role of Rowley Jefferson in the movie trilogy.

His innocent and loveable character was adored by millions of fans.

He starred in the role for three movies before he was recast.

Now, as a 25-year-old, the film star has turned his hand to working behind the camera.

Recently he took up a position as a Writers’ Assistant on The Muppets Mayham movie.

Announcing the news to his fans, Robert said: “If you’d told me I’d be working as a writers’ assistant for the MUPPETS? I would’ve laughed in your face. Life is weird.

“I mean, I think the Muppets introduced me to — kinda everything? Christmas Carol? Brick House? Westerns? (seriously, watch The Great Cookie Robbery from Muppet Babies. Gonzo makes a top ten all time sacrifice. Heart-wrenching).

“ANYWAYS! #themuppetsmayhem is out today on @disneyplus. It’s hilarious, and sweet, and really punny, and a lotta people put their heart and soul into this thing.

“Check it out!!!!!” to which his former co-star and on-screen best friend Zachary, commented: “From Zoo wee mama comics to this … best is yet ahead my friend.”

The latest Dairy of a Wimpy Kid movie was released in 2017 with an entirely new cast.

Jason Zucker took over from Zachary Gordon as Gregory Heffley  while Charlie Wright follows Devon Bostick as his brother Rodrick Heffley.

Greg’s best friend Rowley Jefferson character that Robert Capron played was replaced with actor Owen Asztalos.

Even the actors playing the kids’ parents Susan and Frank Heffley changed, with Clueless actress Alicia Silverstone joining the cast along with Tom Everett Scott.
