DESPITE fears the show wouldn’t go ahead, Dancing On Ice has finally kicked off.
The hit celebrity skating show returned for its 2021 series last night (January 17, 2021).
Did anyone leave Dancing On Ice last night?
As it was the a launch episode, no one went home.
DOI operates in similar way to it’s rival show Strictly, and gives the stars one week’s grace.
In last night’s episode half of the celebrities from the 2021 line-up performed, and the other half will perform next week (January 24, 2021).
Celebrities competing next week include, Colin Jackson, Billie Shepherd, Graham Bell , Sonny Jay, Myleene Klass, and Faye Brookes.
Was anyone in the bottom two last night?
Even though there wasn’t a skate off, two pairs of skaters found themselves in the firing line.
Emmerdale’s Joe Warren-Plant and rapper Lady Leshurr landed in the bottom two after the tallying the public vote.
But as Lady L had the least votes, she will now compete alongside pro partner Brendyn Hatifield to save her place in the ITV figure skating show in next week’s skate-off.
She will go up against the celeb who comes last in the viewer vote in episode two.
Who got the Golden Ticket last night?
The first episode saw the judges give the celebs out of 10.
But in a new addition to the show, the judges were able to award one couple a the special Golden Ticket which gives them passage straight through to the next round.
They decided to give this to comedian Rufus Hound and his professional partner Robin Johnstone, which sees them go straight into musicals week (episode three, January 31, 2021).
When is Dancing On Ice on TV next?
You can catch your next helping of DOI on January 24, 2021.
It kicks off at 6pm on ITV.
