DRAGONS Den investor Steven Bartlett, whose company The Social Chain is valued at over £300 million, could be on the lookout for a girlfriend.
The handsome star of Dragons’ Den may have built a thriving business, but hasn’t had the same luck in love.
The 29-year-old has previously shared that romance is one of the things entrepreneurs often sacrifice in the pursuit of success.
However, could cupid soon be about to change all that by shooting his magical gold-tipped arrow at Steven?
Perhaps, if one contestant gets their own way – as the preview for tonight’s episode of the popular BBC reality series suggests.
In the preview, a 58-year-old contestant – hoping to secure an investment – offers up her daughter for a date.
Not keen on her supposedly utilitarian and unfashionable product, Steven says: “I’m going to be honest… I don’t think a 20-year-old Instagram-centric millennial is going to be wearing these bags.
“I’m sure there’s one or two who will, but it is like a ten out of ten for utility and four out of ten fashion”.
Fellow Dragon Sara Davies then pipes up with a joke about Steven being “a single 28-year-old guy trying to find a girlfriend”, and that the bag won’t help his mission.
After the remark, the contestant comes back with, “My daughter’s out the back”, and the Den erupts in laughter.
On his YouTube channel, Steven recently addressed his relationship status, confirming that he’s straight, single, and not long out of a long-term relationship.
He added: “That relationship was fantastic and all those things that relationships should be, but unfortunately because of my lack of time and my lack of mental focus, and the amount of things I have competing for my attention every single day, the relationship fell apart”.
