From Wheelie Bins to Real Dragons
A Dragons' Den star, Matt Kennedy, has shared the inside scoop on his time on the hit BBC show. Matt, the Founder and CEO of natural deodorant company Fussy, struck a deal with panelists Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones in 2022. Fans will remember Matt bursting out of a wheelie bin during his memorable pitch.
Real Deal or Fake Dragons?
Before facing the real Dragons, Matt and his business partner did a practice run-through in front of 'fake dragons'. The real discussion with the dragons lasted a whopping two hours, with no scripted pauses. Matt was shocked to discover that the lift on set was not real, jokingly admitting he felt "outraged".
Deborah Meaden's Involvement
Deborah Meaden remains actively involved in Matt's business, with Peter Jones also on board. Deborah's passion for sustainability shines through as she continues to support Fussy. She even made a cameo in their latest TV ad, showcasing her versatility by participating in a 90s rap battle.
