Ducky Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson reveals she has ‘flurona’ and rats are ‘invading her home’

DUCK Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson opened up about her horror start to the year just months after battling Covid while pregnant.

Sadie, 24, revealed that not only had she caught “flurona” – a mix of flu and Covid – but rats had been ‘invading’ her home with husband, Christian Huff.

On an Instagram post of a video of her inside a store, filming Christian holding their eight-month-old daughter, Honey James.

The doting dad kissed the baby as she waved to her mum through the window.

Sadie explained the young family had travelled to Atlanta to speak at a religious conference but she had to deliver her sermon over video after falling ill.

Then the family found out rats had been found in their house and they couldn’t go back home.

“tbh the start to this year has been quite interesting! We will share more about it in our vlog soon,” Sadie started the post.

“It started off by me getting FLURONA (flu + covid) (yikes) so obviously I was so bummed to miss passion but I was so thankful that God gave me the strength to still preach my message to an empty room despite being so sick.

“My faith from that experience grew so much
?
His spirit is truly living within us! also, thankful the conference is online!”

Sdie added: “Then as we were on our way home from ATL we got a call that we have a couple of rats invading our home and those little guys are doing some workkk. So we couldn’t go home.

“It’s day 4 of not being able to get them and being out of our house. It’s disgusting
?
and we are exhausted from getting over sickness and being out of our home.

“so here we are floating around trying to make the most of it. Thankful to be healthy now. Lord, help us to consider it joy! P.s. I’m sad to say ratatouille the movie hits different now.”

Sadie’s flurona diagnosis comes after the TV star was hospitalized with Covid while she was pregnant with Honey in 2020.

She then explained the symptoms that came on after her husband passed it on to her: “Mine started with a really bad headache.

“Like, a different kind of headache than I’ve ever had – it was like a migraine behind my eye.

“Then I got the cough, my throat was so red and on fire. It was terrible.”

She also talked about experiencing brain fog, body aches, a loss of taste and smell, very “vivid dreams,” and not being able to sleep.

These symptoms had her rush to the hospital to check on her baby as she developed dehydration due to her morning sickness, along with coronavirus symptoms.

She said: “Being so weak and so sick and throwing up as much as I was, I got very dehydrated.

“At this point, when I was dehydrated, my chest pain had gotten really bad. I could barely talk and Mom came over and was like, ‘You need to go to the hospital.'”

Her loving mom jumped in to agree with Sadie and said: “I just remember you looked so pitiful and your voice was so weak, you could not talk.”

Sadie, who married Christian in 2019, shared: “Life update: I’m not going to lie, this has been one of the most challenging things.

“I got Covid-19 and ended up getting very sick. I know everyone experiences covid differently, but wow these symptoms are wild.

“I’ve definitely struggled through this one! Thankfully baby Huff is doing great and healthy, and I am now healing as well.”

Sadie added that she is no longer in the hospital and has “just about fully recovered,” sharing that she has “learned a lot” and has been “challenged in a lot of new ways.”

The first case of flurona was discovered in a young pregnant woman in Israel earlier this week.

Flu and Covid can both cause very serious illness, and experts have previously warned you are twice as likely to die with dual infection than with Covid alone.

While the two winter illnesses are not new, “flurona” has recently been coined to describe infection with both simultaneously.

But you can be vaccinated against both, with booster shots the most optimal protection against Covid, inducing Omicron.
