Duggar sisters go silent on social media after Joy-Anna declares she’s taking a ‘break’ following Josh’s guilty verdict

THE Duggar sisters have gone silent on social media after Joy-Anna revealed she was taking a “break to focus on family.”

The lack of activity comes after their brother Josh was found guilty at his child pornography case.

The Duggar sisters have gone quiet on social media following their brother Josh’s guilty verdict

Joy-Anna Duggar recently declared she was taking a ‘break to focus on family’

Hours before the clock struck midnight and 2022 arrived, Joy-Anna took to her Instagram Stories and declared that she was taking some time off.

She told fans in a clip: “… I will be taking a break off social media for the month of January.

“I want to the month to refocus, reprioritize, and spend some quality time with the family.”

The former Counting On star, 24, said she hoped to “set the tone for the whole year” and start 2022 “off right.”

However, while she was the only one to announce a social media break, it seems some of her other sisters have followed suit.

Jill, 30, has kept quiet on social media since early December, with her last post being a selfie and captioned: “So thankful for coffee from friends, walks in nature, food from family and friends and the many supportive messages and continued prayers.”

As for 29-year-old Jessa, her most recent post was on the final day of 2021, simply sharing a snap of her son Spurgeon, six, holding a cookie.

However, some of the other Duggar sisters have been a bit more active, including Jinger, who has posted some photos of her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, as well as her various daily tasks.

The eldest Duggar daughter, Jana, increased her posts recently, giving fans a look at the family’s holiday party, weeks after she was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

JOSH’S VERDICT

The sisters’ different approach to social media comes after their brother Josh was found guilty on child pornography charges on December 9.

The 33-year-old was taken into custody immediately after the verdict came in, and is expected to remain in jail until his sentencing in 2022.

Meanwhile, Jessa, Jill, and Joy-Anna have been “in talks to settle” a lawsuit with police over allegations involving their brother Josh.

PAST SCANDAL

The trio have been chatting with authorities over a leaked police report claiming their disgraced brother molested minors in the family home.

In 2015, a 33-page Arkansas police report was released to the public, claiming dad Jim Bob confessed to local authorities that Josh fondled the breasts and genitals of young girls while they were asleep in the Duggar family home years prior.

Jill and Jessa came forward as two of the alleged victims in an interview with Megyn Kelly, where they insisted they had forgiven Josh, who was never charged, for his wrongdoings.

Jinger and Joy-Anna were also suing, though they have not publicly come forward as victims of the alleged molestation.

Josh is expected to be sentence for his child pornography guilty verdict in three months.

Jill has not posted in weeks, thanking fans for their support in her final post on Instagram

Jessa, here with husband Ben Seewald, has also not been very active, only sharing a photo of her son on the final day of 2021

Josh is expected to be sentenced for his guilty verdict sometime in 2022
