THE BBC has announced a special episode of EastEnders will air in a schedule shake-up.
The broadcaster will show a coronation-themed episode on the week of King Charles’ coronation that takes place on May 6, 2023.

Walford residents will celebrate the big day by throwing a street party in Albert Square.
Viewers can expect to see the community spirit of Walford at an all-time high as the residents attempt to leave their drama at the door – but it remains to be seen if that will be the case.
It comes as the Beeb confirmed their Coronation TV schedule which will see beloved shows broadcast special episodes.
The One Show will officially launch the week with an episode showcasing the tremendous work being done up and down the country for the occasion.
Hamza Yassin and Charlotte Smith will present Countryfile: The King and the Countryside.
The pair will be at Dumfries House, the Ayrshire showcase of the abiding rural passions of King Charles.
Meanwhile, Royal Bargain Hunt will broadcast from Newark Antiques and both the red and blue teams will be made up of royal fans.
The Antiques Roadshow Coronation Special will bring viewers through Britain’s fascination with intriguing artefacts that have royal connections.
To mark the historical event of the Coronation of King Charles III, Saturday Kitchen will broadcast live under the title ‘Coronation Kitchen Live’ and look ahead to the Big Lunch and the Coronation Concert. Star of BBC’s Royal Recipes, Anna Haugh will make a dish fit for royalty.
The celebrations continue as Stitching for Britain will take viewers ‘behind the seams’ at uniform manufacturers, Kashket & Partners, as they pull out all the stops to prepare thousands of spectacular parade uniforms for King Charles’ Coronation Day.
Gareth Malone, Motsi Mabuse, Amanda Holden and Rose Ayling-Ellis will put choirs throughout the country through their paces in Sing For The King: The Search for the Coronation Choir.
