EASTENDERS’ David Wicks actor Michael French looked unrecognisable as he stepped out for a stroll in the sunshine.
Michael’s love-rat character arrived on the BBC soap back in 1993 as the son of Pete Beale.

On-screen, he was adopted by his mother Pat Butcher’s second husband Brian Wicks and had lost contact with Pete.
Brown-haired David had arrived on EastEnders‘ Albert Square in 1993 for the funeral of his estranged father and – unannounced – turned up on his mother Pat’s doorstep.
Michael’s character had also lost contact with his mum at 17.
Yet off-screen, Michael lives a quiet life in Essex.
This week he was spotted walking his adorable French Bulldog in a grassy field.
The actor wore a grey flat cap and matching shorts, covering up with a white shirt.
He finished off his low-key look with a black bag slung over his shoulder and trainers.
The star kept a serious face during his stroll, keeping his pooch close-by on a lead.
His white hair could be seen peeking out of his hat and he stopped temporarily to light a cigarette.
He finished off his walk in a residential area surrounded by pretty flower bushes.
Michael’s character’s plotline took a swift turn and saw him catapulted into one of the soap’s best-known characters.
When an old fling, Carol Jackson, moved to the square, David grew increasingly close to her daughter Bianca until Carol admitted that David was, actually, Bianca’s father.
As well as being Bianca’s dad, the iconic soap bad-boy also had a daughter named Karen and a son called Joe.
He eventually left the Square after a heart attack in 2014 and was said to be living in the United States, in scenes which saw him missing his wedding and being ditched by Carol.
After his soap stint, Michael also starred in Holby City and Casualty.
