But viewers were distracted by Kat’s huge blunder
The troubled teen had been searching for his dad since he arrived on Albert Square, and he was overjoyed when he found his company online to arranged to meet up.
However, Freddie was left distraught after finding out the truth about how he was conceived.
Kat explained that Little Mo stood up in court against him and he was sent down.
She added how she couldn’t wait for a fresh start when Freddie was born.
A reeling Freddie headed out for some time to himself to absorb the latest bombshell, but the Slater family panicked when he was no where to be found.
A desperate Kat kept ringing Freddie’s mobile phone, but it kept going to voicemail.
However, viewers spotted a huge blunder and pointed out that Kat had her phone upside down.
Taking to social media, one viewer said: “Why is Kat using the phone upside-down.”
While residents frantically searched for Freddie, Freddie was sitting on the roof top on the Queen Vic in tears.
Gina found him and talked to him about not blaming himself for what happened to his mum.
Freddie spoke about how strong his mum is, but also how her trauma had effected her, such as worrying about the doors being locked, and how it all makes sense now he knows the truth.
Gina also took her own advice and tried not to blame herself for her mum ‘Rose’ leaving.
Gina had a heart-to-heart with her sister Anna and agreed that despite their challenges, they always had each other and always will.
Gina then flushed the drugs down the toilet and promised her sister she will stay clean.
Meanwhile, Anna called the private investigator and told him to call off the search to find their mum.
But is it too late? Can the investigator finally give the Knight family answers about the missing ‘Rose’?
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
