Soap fans thought Emmerdale actor Dominic Blunt was Steve McFadden’s stunt double after this picture started doing the rounds on social media

Phil and sister Sam kidnapped Lewis, but he briefly managed to escape before being recaptured, with Phil threatening to kill him.

A behind-the-scenes picture is now doing the rounds on social media from filming the tense scenes, with Steve and co-star Aidan O’Callaghan – who plays Lewis – posing with their stunt doubles.

However, some soap fans immediately thought Phil’s stunt double was Emmerdale actor Dominic Brunt.

Dominic has played Paddy Kirk in the ITV soap since 1997, but it didn’t stop some from thinking he had made a rogue cameo in the rival show.

One Twitter user shared the snap and joked: “Why was Phil Mitchell’s stunt double paddy from emmerdale.”

Another wrote alongside crying with laughter emojis: “he actually does look like paddy.”

A third tweeted: “If Paddy from emmerdale and Matt Lucas had a child.”

In last night’s episode, Ben (Max Bowden) decided not to kill Lewis after he arrived to find him tied to a chair and his dad ready to finish him off.

At gunpoint he forced Lewis to talk through what happened on the night where he raped him.

“Did you or did you not hear me say no?” he said to Lewis.

Holding the gun to his throat, Ben forced him to admit what he did.

“I undid your shirt and carried on,” Lewis said before crying and saying: “I raped you.”

But then as Ben further questioned him, he realised Lewis had raped other men.

Furious Ben carried on interrogating Lewis before making a decision and firing the gun.

However he didn’t shoot him – and instead let him go free.
