EastEnders Fans Slam Soap Bosses for Ruining Character, Calling Him a Right Drip

EastEnders viewers have expressed their disappointment with the show's producers, accusing them of "ruining" a beloved character. Fans have voiced their frustration, claiming that the character has become a "right drip" in recent episodes.

The BBC One soap has been featuring scenes that depict a rekindled connection between Keanu Taylor and Sharon Watts.

A Plot in the Making

However, things are not as they seem. Keanu has been secretly plotting with his mother, Karen, to win back Sharon's affection. Their plan involves preventing Sharon from leaving the country with their son, Albie, who is not yet on Keanu's birth certificate. Additionally, Keanu intends to kidnap Albie once he legally becomes his father by marrying Sharon.

It's worth noting that Keanu is already unable to see his first-born child, Peggy, who resides in Portugal with his ex-partner, Louise Mitchell.

Frustration among EastEnders Fans

Many EastEnders fans have grown weary of this storyline and are dissatisfied with Keanu's character development, portrayed by actor Danny Walters.

Expressing their disappointment on social media, one fan wrote, "They have really turned Keanu into a right drip... I used to like his character a lot until they ruined him."

Another fan said, "Keanu is making me bang my head against the wall. He needs to go. I've had enough of him NOW."

A third viewer commented, "Is it just me, or is Keanu's current behavior setting him up perfectly to be the Christmas day victim? Right now, I wouldn't mind it being him."

While a fourth fan speculated, "The real Keanu loves Sharon, and I think once Karen leaves, he'll genuinely fall for Sharon again, and their marriage will be legitimate."

Changes in the Cast

In other news, Lorraine Stanley, who has portrayed Karen Taylor on EastEnders for the past seven years, is set to leave the show soon. Earlier this year, BBC bosses made the decision to remove her character as part of a shake-up of the series.

EastEnders can be watched on BBC One and iPlayer.
