Charmer Ryan is back to face the music after discovering that his 12 year old daughter Lily Slater is pregnant with her first child.

Despite being out of soap fans lives for some time, Ryan still looked incredible as he re-appeared on the show.

Fans were quick to take to Twitter to swoon over the heartthrob and pine after him.

One fan declared: “Ryan still looks hot #EastEnders.”

Another viewer added: “Oh how beautiful is Ryan?! #EastEnders.”

As a third penned: “The gawjus Ryan is back #Eastenders.”

In real life the character is played by Neil McDermott and has always been a fan favourite and a bit of eye candy around Walford.

As well as appearing on the hit show, Neil has had an equally impressive stage career and has appeared in a number of high-profile West End productions including taking over from fellow former EastEnders star Nigel Harman in the 2011 run of Shrek: The Musical.

Speaking of taking Ryan back out for a spin on Albert Sqaure, Neil said: “When you’ve been doing EastEnders for a long time like I did, it stays with you for your whole life and you wonder where that character is. They say, ‘where is he? Is he dead? What’s happened to him?’

“I always sort of know where he is because I know he’s up in Wakefield with Helen but I often wonder what his job is and what they’re doing. But to be able to be back on screen and to be back in the Square is really exciting.”

EastEnders airs Monday-Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer.
