EastEnders fans have been guessing who will be dead by Christmas – as they theorise a shocking storyline.
The London-based soap is no stranger to a shocking Christmas plot.
Fans of the show think character Theo Hawthorne portrayed by William Ellis will be involved in the Christmas death
Others also think long-time star Stacey Slater played by Lacey Turner will have a part to play
In fact, it is notorious for a variety of unbelievable deaths occurring around the festive season.
Now, fans have a new theory about who will be axed from the show.
One soap-lover described their idea in-depth, stating: “First of all I think the body is Theo.
“I think he will become so obsessed with Stacey that he shows up Christmas Day in a suit and cufflinks thinking they will get married.
“The person that kills him is….Nish.
“We have been programmed to hate Nish from the start.
“The writers have really been painting him out as evil.
“I think he will kill Theo after walking in and seeing him attacking Stacey and the girls.
“He knows he will go to prison for life now (even for manslaughter) so the girls help him hide the body somewhere.”
Other fans agreed, with one commenting: “Oh my god that does make sens. Bc Stacey seemed the most horrified out of everyone and had blood on her hands.”
Another added: “So it’s a Theo-ry about Christmas lol.”
Some weren’t so convinced, with one complaining: “I don’t think Nish is the kind of character who could (or should) have a redemption arc.
“If he were to kill Theo it wouldn’t be for any kind of heroic reason, he would be likely protecting his own interests in some way.”
It comes after the show did an EastEnders first, earlier this year, showing a flash-forward to Christmas.
Instead of it showing a merry scene, fans of the show were shocked to learn that there is a death and six of Walford’s much-loved characters are involved.
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Kathy Beale’s (Gillian Taylforth) are seen gathered over the body with Sharon in a wedding dress.
Other theories have also swirled around the square though, as the Christmas death looms.
