The actor was left feeling “gutted” after it was announced that the BBC drama was being cancelled following 23 years on screens.
From screen to stage, he played the role of bad guy Abanazar in the pantomime Aladdin at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
Davood also returned to take part in the BBC game show Pointless once again, alongside co-star and friend James Bye, which will air later this year.
Taking to Instagram, the caption read: “We’re at it again! Filmed our 2nd episode on BBC Pointless Celebrities. Last time we were the last couple standing but didn’t get that all important pointless answer!
“See how we got on this time. You will have to wait a bit as we only filmed it today.
“Here’s a game for you in the meantime… put an ‘e’ behind my head and an ‘i’ behind Davood’s and what have you got??? Explains why pic 2 was taken where it was.”
